In our second session, Dean Ornish, MD, in conversation with Lianna Levine Reisner from Plant Powered Metro New York, shares findings from his new study on Alzheimer’s disease, diet, and lifestyle. Known for his pioneering work in Lifestyle Medicine as the creator of the Ornish Lifestyle Heart Trial, Dr. Ornish will explain practical, research-backed strategies to prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and to slow their progression. Dr. Dean Ornish and his colleagues are conducting the first randomized controlled trial to determine if the progression of early stage Alzheimer’s disease may be slowed, stopped, or perhaps even reversed by a comprehensive lifestyle medicine program, without drugs, devices, or surgery.
