The Ulpan Center at the JCC is New York City's premier location for learning modern conversational Hebrew. The Ulpan Center uses the Israeli Ulpan method and materials for teaching and improving all Hebrew language skills — speaking, comprehension, reading, and writing. Courses are taught at all levels, in small, interactive classes, by experienced, native Hebrew-speaking teachers. Register early to guarantee a place in the class of your choice. Payment must accompany registration.

Placement
Students with no knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet may register for the Beginner Aleph class at 646-505-5708 or online at www.jccmanhattan.org. For all other levels, placement is necessary with the Ulpan director, Adina Marom. To make an appointment for placement, call 646-505-4426 or e-mail

Ulpan Refund Policy
The JCC does not issue refunds for classes missed as a result of illness or other circumstances beyond our control. The following refund policy applies to Ulpan classes exclusively: To receive a 100% refund, a written request (this includes letter, fax, or email) must be received by the end of the second week of the student's enrollment in the class. To receive a 50% refund, written requests must be received by the end of the third week of a student's enrollment in the class. No refunds will be given after the third week of class. JCC membership fees are not refundable. Please allow three to four weeks for the processing of refund requests. To withdraw from a class or request a refund, you may contact Ulpan Director, Adina Marom, amarom@jccmanhattan.org.
