WHAT IS ENGAGE BROOKLYN?

It's Time to Care, Brooklynites!

UJA-Federation of New York's Engage Jewish Service Corps brings together Jews in their 50s, 60s, and beyond to address the needs of the Jewish community of the greater New York City area. JCC Manhattan's program has expanded to Brooklyn, which has the highest Jewish poverty rate—38%—of any borough in New York. Join us to use your expertise, passion, and leadership to learn about and address important issues including poverty, hunger, joblessness, and the needs of caregivers, isolated elderly, and people with special needs. Volunteers meet regularly for discussion, reflection, and analysis to deepen the connections between volunteering, learning, and overall life experiences.
