Healing Through Words: Chronic Illness - A Writing Workshop
fall
  • Tue, Dec 03 - Tue, Dec 03
  • 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM
  • $35 members / $45 public

Joanne Jacobson

Language offers us a precious resource for articulating our feelings about being ill; for communicating to those who aren't ill; for discovering how to live with illness. But because cancer's stubbornness and invasiveness create particular challenges for expression, it can be powerful to write in the supportive company of others. In this workshop, we'll read together work by writers living with cancer—then write on our own; and present and discuss with one another our writing about how we experience cancer.
