Avi Nesher Retrospective
For over four decades, Avi Nesher has been one of the leading voices in Israeli cinema. Both pioneering and impactful, Nesher's films are not only some of Israel's biggest hits, but they opened the door for Israeli films to succeed in international markets as well. His latest, The Other Story was one of this year's most successful Israeli films. We will honor Nesher with two films from his extensive filmography. Turn Left at the End of the World (2004) Nesher's biggest box office success in Israel that brought new energy to Israeli cinema. Next, the newly restored Rage and Glory (1984) follows a cell of the Stern Gang that begins to fall apart during an attempt to assassinate a senior British officer in pre-state Israel.
