Ma’yan provides feminist, social justice, and leadership training to teen girls and teaches vital skills to parents and educators. Based at Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, we work in the Jewish community and the wider world towards greater equality for women and all people.
Through research, community events, workshops for teens, parents and educators, and an internship program for high school-aged girls, we provide resources that help youth connect what's going on in their own lives to broader systemic issues. This process is reflected in the videos created by Ma’yan program participants: Can I Wear This? Navigating the Bat Mitzvah Dress Code and Pretty Sexy Sassy: How Girls and Media Consume One Another.
