JCC Harlem is proud to be a hub of Jewish life in Harlem, offering diverse opportunities for people to engage Jewishly within and beyond our four walls. Recognizing that there isn't one way to do or be Jewish, we strive to keep our doors and minds open to Jewish programming and ideas of all denominations, cultures, identities, and philosophies. We offer experiences that celebrate Jewish traditions, values, and holidays in an inclusive and modern way, while also creating spaces for our varied group of neighborhood and community partners to demonstrate their own unique vision and priorities for urban life.
We welcome Jews by birth, Jews by choice, multifaith families, and those wishing to learn more about Judaism. Our JCC Harlem family includes singles and families of all configurations. We welcome those of all cultural backgrounds, ethnic heritages, and sexual orientations. We strive to be an accessible congregation – welcoming those with physical, learning, and developmental disabilities. We welcome all people on their Jewish journey, and also those who wish to walk alongside us on that journey.
