The Painting, Drawing + Printmaking Studio offers classes in drawing, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, collage, printmaking and related 2-D media, and art history.
Thanks to the generous gift of a printing press by Gerson and Judith Leiber, we are able to offer the rare opportunity to learn the basic principles of printmaking.
Learn how to use all the features on your DSLR or point and shoot camera to capture beautiful images, then learn to edit your digital photography with skill in our Photography + Digital Media classes.
All photography classes requiring computers are taught in our digital lab equipped with 14 Mac computers using Adobe Lightroom software unless otherwise specified. Printing resources will be discussed in class.
For the first class students should bring their camera, cables/card readers, manuals/software, memory card, and a USB drive. Please remember to charge your camera battery.
Students provide their own paints, brushes, canvases, palettes, and specialty papers—which will be discussed in class. Most drawing supplies provided by the JCC.
