If you want to participate in a triathlon but aren’t sure how to get started, or find traditional training options intimidating, then our combination indoor/outdoor training is for you. In addition to improving your existing swim, bike and run skills, this program will cover the topics essential to completing your first triathlon, including transitions, race day strategy, nutrition, gear and apparel. The program will culminate in our own mini-triathlon. Participants must be able to run/walk 1.5 miles, swim 50 meters in freestyle/crawl stroke, and have their own bike. Train for The Athleta Iron Girl Sprint Distance Triathlon
Have you ever been tempted to try a "Tri"? Now’s your chance. Have fun as you bike, run, and swim yourself into great shape in the company of other women. Led by Heart Zones Coach Jody Jacob-McVey, this two-level program is designed for first timers as well as those who have raced before and are looking to improve their fitness and time. Train in a group twice a week to prepare for an open water 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 5K run. Training includes an open water swim and a mini-tri in New Jersey.
