On September 21, world leaders will gather in New York City for a UN summit on the climate crisis. UN Secretary­ General Ban Ki-moon is urging governments to support an ambitious global agreement to dramatically reduce global warming pollution.With our future on the line and the whole world watching, we'll take a stand to bend the course of history. We'll take to the streets to demand the world we know is within our reach: a world with an economy that works for people and the planet; a world safe from the ravages of climate change; a world with good jobs, clean air and water, and healthy communities. The march begins at 11:30 am, following a pre-approved route from Columbus Circle to the Javits Center.After you register, you will receive detailed information on the exact meet-up location near Columbus Circle, which will be at approximately 11:00 am on Sunday September 21. There will also be programs before and/or after the march for families, teens, and adults of all ages at the JCC and throughout the Upper West Side.Visit peoplesclimate.org for more information about the People's Climate March and to see a schedule of related events around the city.
