This program is geared towards young athletes that want to work on their endurance, learn proper competitive starts and turns and other racing skills to potentially try-out for the JCC Thunderbirds Swim Team. Tryouts required. Your swimmer must complete 25 meters of all four competitive strokes. By appt only. Multi-discipline Accelerated Martial Arts Training- Winter Session
This accelerated and intensive two-hour class will allow serious students of the martial arts to focus on the techniques required to achieve black belt, teacher certification, and higher levels of proficiency. Students enrolled in this course will have an individualized training plan to help them meet their goals at an accelerated yet comfortable rate. This beginning swim class is for teens and young adults aged 15-29 with special needs. This class focuses on basic swimming skills including breathing technique and becoming comfortable in the water. We specialize in small class size and dedicated instructors. An intake form (available here) and phone interview with our swim office is required for class placement. Weight Lifting Just for Teens: Small Group Training
This weight lifting program is tailored specifically for teens. It teaches how to work out, to get in shape safely and remain injury-free. All levels welcome. Only 4 participants per session. William VerEecke has been involved in personal training for over 15 years and has accumulated well over 15,000 hours of one-on-one training as well as hundreds of hours instructing group fitness classes. He specializes in working with teens, but trains clients of all ages (from 12-92) and all levels from the competitive athlete to pre and post surgery as well as those recovering from injury. William is a certified personal trainer with A.C.E., N.C.S.A., has completed the Reactive Neuromuscular Training course and is constantly expanding his knowledge of the human body and fitness through continuing education courses. With a background in stage and costume design, he has an uncanny eye for detail and is adept at working with people to achieve a holistic approach to fitness as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
