Saving the Fire: A Special Mindfulness Mini-Retreat for 20's + 30's
Jean Cocteau was asked, "If your house was on fire, what would be the one thing you would save?" "The fire," he replied. We all have disasters, upheavals, traumas, and "fires" in our lives. Mindfulness is a transformative tool for understanding how these fires can be the deepest teachers in our lives, helping us relate to ourselves and others with greater ease, compassion, and wisdom. This mini retreat will provide an introduction to mindfulness and sitting and walking meditation. Most of the afternoon will be spent in silent practice. Co–sponsored by the NYU Center for Spiritual Life. (more)REGISTER
