My Child's Starting Kindergarten! A Conversation for Mothers and Father about Children - and Parents - Growing
Starting kindergarten marks a time of growth, transition, and change for our children as well as for us as parents. You've likely been focused on preparing your child for the year ahead, so this is a chance to give yourself the gift of time and space to join an open, non-judgmental conversation talking about the transition to kindergarten and what it means for each of us as a mother or father. In addition to conversation and reflection, rituals can be powerful tools for helping us mark important transitions. Those interested will have the option for individual ritual immersion in a local mikveh after the program to Jewishly and spiritually mark this parenting transition. This is a pilot program of ImmerseNYC, co-sponsored by the JCC. A light kosher, vegetarian dinner will be served. Cost $20 (payable at the program by cash or check).
