Read about JCC Harlem in Jewish Week
JCC Harlem launched in January 2017 at 318 West 118th Street, between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Manhattan Avenue. In our 6,000 square foot space, we seek to create a hub of Jewish life for Harlem's growing and vibrant Jewish community, hosting holiday celebrations as well as weekly, monthly, and one-time programming for people of all ages and from all walks of life.
We're looking to present an exciting array of programming, such as:
- Morning Meditation, Yoga + MELT
- Family Shabbat + Friday Night Dinners
- Shabbat Afternoon Programs
- Ulpan and Adult Education
- Afterschool Programs
- Community Engagement through Service Learning
- 20s + 30s Events
- Co-Presented Ritual Events
- Birthday Parties
If you would like to discuss renting our space for a variety of activities, please contact Meg Sullivan here. JCC Harlem is deeply committed to building partnerships with local community organizations; the possibilities are endless within and beyond our new four walls.
FEATURED PROGRAMS: NOT QUITE NURSERY and THE 3s
Not Quite Nursery. Welcoming all 2's to their first drop-off classroom experience. This 4 weeks, 8 meeting class will feature open ended play, morning meeting, art experiences and creative movement. Your child will be introduced to Jewish holidays through songs and sensory explorations in a classroom setting with new friends! Our teachers will create a warm and nurturing environment for you little one to begin their school journey. Each child will have their own individualized separation plan that parents and teachers create together. We will provide a healthy, kosher, dairy, nut-free snack and water. Starts June 19.
The 3s. Welcoming our inaugural 3s drop-off class! Following the success of our first ever Not Quite Nursery program, we welcome your family to join us for a classroom experience in which your child will be an active participant in developing the curriculum through their interests, creativities and and experiential learning. Our warm and thoughtful teaching team will partner with The 3's to develop art and sensory escapades, meaningful meeting time, open-ended provocations, healthy snack time, and story telling through dramatic play. Starts June 19.
